A Mother's Rebuke
How dare you! How dare you speak of my son and his courage! How dare you say his name in your hypocritical praise. You who used him and threw his life away. You who wanted to be a "war president" like it's some sort of sick game! A monster to end all monsters.
Blood for oil - just so long as it's your oil and not your blood. And with you, who knows, maybe even then. Calling his death noble is just your way of calling yourself noble for your wicked, wicked endeavors. You do not have permission to speak his name. You certainly don't have permission to speak of his death!
I don't ask you to repent. That's between you and your war god. God help you if you ever crawl out of that hole of yours. Because there's thousands upon thousands of screaming wailing voices waiting to be heard. I don't want to hear your bullshit. I want to hear you're sorry. That would be a start to honoring him.

A Garden Of Words
We met in a Garden Of Words
From harbored shadows of our lives;
Dreams we'd dreamt alone
Sunbursting into life.
The universe our long lost home
And time a distant memory;
Navigating ancient stars
In fearless trajectory.
Sorrow shining in your eyes
Precious love lost at sea;
More certain than the daily sun:
Forever must you be!
Flowers of confusion grow
From tears of human pain;
Vandals pounding on the gate
Demanding we explain.
City noise invade our space
But none of that is heard
Where cloud dwellers dream
And contented cats purr.
Blessed world awards itself
As sinking hearts fall hardened;
But our place is in the light
That streams into this Garden.
Now I live in a broken dream
Cold and cruel with blame;
Speaking daily gibberish
No one knows my name.
From you I can not
Survive separation;
Is there still a way to
Make reparation.
In fear I ran away
From garden's heaven light;
Twisting in my mind
What is wrong and what is right.
